此医病人に薬をわたすに。鉛（なまり）を入てせんずべしと
いふことあり。元礼ふしぎに思ひて何とまうす薬方（やくはう）
にやと問ければ。建中湯（けんちうとう）なりと答（こと）ふ。これ飴（あめ）の字（じ）を

見ると、住居や建物が身分より華麗で、話し方や容貌は武家の風格をなし、衣服や腰の物などの装身具を美しくし、駕籠を飛ばして華々しく歩き回っている。この仲間の中に特に庸医がいる。その上これも身分より出費が多く、自然と心が汚くなり利欲に走り、仁慈の心を失うことは、前金を取る医者と変わることがない。今大路家でも門弟への戒めの中に、「華麗を好めば欲心甚だしく、慈仁の道を失う。

ただ宜しく倹約を守るべし」との規則がある。実にもっともな箇条である。
○中国で戴元礼という人が、医学修行に出て楊州に至った所、門前に人が市をなす医者がいた。これこそ探し求める良医であろうと、喜んで宿泊した。この医者が病人に薬を渡すのに、鉛を入れて煎じるべしということがあった。元礼が不思議に思って「何という薬方ですか」と問うと、「建中湯である」と答えた。これは飴の字を
