筋は。丸切の内。三ッ合の上下。かひの両方。脊の皮。
下腹。脇腹。䓁にあり右の所より削り取てし塩
を付俵に入筋納屋に収む筋納屋にて俵より
出し桶に入水に浸しさらして桶より出
し上皮を去て又桶に入水に浸し血油

**筋の製作図**
筋は、丸切りの内部、三つ合わせの上下、貝殻の両側、背中の皮、下腹、脇腹などにある。右記の箇所から削り取って塩を付け、俵に入れて筋納屋に収める。筋納屋で俵から出し、桶に入れて水に浸してさらし、桶から出して上皮を取り除き、また桶に入れて水に浸して血や油を抜く。桶から出して細く裂き、包丁で掻き取り、また桶に入れてさらし、晴天時に竿にかけて干し上げる。水牛の毛のようになったものを箱に詰めて都市部に送って売る。綿打ち弓の弦に使用し、その他細工職人の用途も多いという。

**Diagram of Sinew Production**
Sinews are found in the interior of round cuts, above and below the triple joints, on both sides of the shells, on the back skin, lower abdomen, and flanks. They are scraped from these locations, salted, placed in straw bags, and stored in the sinew warehouse. At the sinew warehouse, they are removed from the bags, placed in tubs, soaked in water and bleached. They are then removed from the tubs, the outer skin is peeled off, and they are placed back in tubs, soaked in water to remove blood and oil. After being removed from the tubs, they are split into thin strips, scraped with a knife, placed back in tubs for bleaching, and on clear days, hung on poles to dry. When they become like water buffalo hair, they are packed in boxes and sent to urban areas for sale. They are used for cotton bow strings, and craftsmen have many other uses for them.
