とし玉の春は。十六武蔵野#1の東（ひんがし）より
立て。道中すこ六の京へとてのほる物から。
歌かるたの百磯城（もゝしき）の宮にも。紅絵（べにゑ）の
はつ日をむかへ万歳扇（まんさいあふぎ）の藐姑射（はこや）の
山にも。紫革（むらさきかは）の露をひけるあした。柱（はしら）
暦（こよみ）の惣身にむきて。福寿草を笑は
するは。戯れるにしくものなんなかりける
されは五色糸に美（うつく）しき詞（ことは）を綴（つゞ）り。色
楊枝におかしきふしを添へて。柚べしの
みそじ一文字をうたふ人〳〵。我狂哥堂
の門松を潜（くゞ）りて。年始御礼帳のはしに
貝杓子（かいしやくし）のかいつけ給へるを。御室茶碗（おむろちやわん）の
箱のうちに。鼠（ねずみ）半切ともに巻納めんも
あたらしう。草双紙の草むすびして。
物申（ものもう）どうれ百人一首と名つけ。問来る
友とちにこたへ侍るものならし

年玉の春は、十六武蔵野の東より立って、道中少々の京へと上るものから、歌かるたの百敷の宮にも、紅絵の初日を迎え、万歳扇の藐姑射の山にも、紫革の露を引けるあした、柱暦の総身に向きて、福寿草を笑わせるのは、戯れるに如くものなんなかりける。
されば五色糸に美しき詞を綴り、色楊枝におかしき節を添えて、柚べしの三十一文字を歌う人々、我が狂歌堂の門松を潜りて、年始御礼帳の端に貝杓子の買い付け給えるを、御室茶碗の箱の内に、鼠半切と共に巻き納めんも新しく、草双紙の草結びして、物申どうれ百人一首と名付け、問い来る友達に答え侍るものなり。

Tying the grass knots of popular books, naming it "New Year's Greetings: A Hundred Poems by Dolts," this is what I offer in response to inquiring friends.
