湊（みなと）より順風（しゆんふう）に帆（ほ）をあげ大島（おほしま）に着岸（ちやくがん）し、この島人（しまひと）

Those who resisted numbered about one thousand, and those who opposed them were struck down, with over three hundred heads taken. The rest all came out in surrender. On the first day of the fourth month, they captured Okinoerabu and Yoron Island, landed at Unten Harbor, organized their battle formation, and stormed the castle. Intending to attack Shuri's royal castle, they headed to Naha Harbor, which was about one ri away. At the harbor entrance, chevaux de frise and barrier stakes were placed without gaps, iron chains were stretched underwater, and if ships became entangled in these, the defenders planned to shoot them down while looking down from above.
