もとむる山ならむと思ひてさすかにおそろし
く覚えて山のめくりをさしめくらして二三
日計見ありくに天人のよそほひしたる女山の
中より出きてしろかねのかなまるを持て水をく
みありく是を見て舟よりおりてこの山の名を
何とか申ととふ女こたへて云これはほうらいの
山なりとこたふ是を聞にうれしき事限なし
此女かくのたまふは誰そととふ我名ははうかん
るりと云てふと山の中に入ぬその山を見るに
さらに上るへき様なし其山のそはひら【傍平＝かたわら】をめく
れは世中になき華の木共たてり金しろかね

求める山であろうと思って、さすがに恐ろしく思えて、山の周りを船で回りながら二、三日ほど見て歩いていると、天人の装いをした女が山の中より出てきて、白銀の金丸（水器）を持って水を汲んで歩いている。これを見て船より降りて、「この山の名を何と申しますか」と問う。女が答えて言うには「これは蓬莱の山です」と答える。これを聞いて嬉しいことこの上なし。この女が「あなたは誰ですか」と言うので問うと、「我が名は宝冠瑠璃と言います」と言って、ふっと山の中に入ってしまった。その山を見ると、全く登るべき方法がない。その山の傍らの平らな所を回ると、世の中にない花の木々が立っている。金や白銀
