なって戦う心もなかった。辛うじて気持ちを奮い起こして弓矢を取って立ち向かおうとしたが、手に力もなくなって萎えかかってしまった。心がしっかりしている者も念じて射ようとしたが、矢は別の方向に飛んでいってしまった。荒々しい者も戦うことができず、心地はぼんやりとして見守るだけであった。立っている人々の装束の美しさは何物にも例えようがない。飛ぶ車を備え、羅蓋を差している。その中に王と思われる人がいて、「宮つ子（なよ竹のかぐや姫）よ、家に参れ」と言うと、勇ましく思っていた宮つ子も、何かに酔ったような心地がして、うつ伏せに倒れてしまった。「お前は幼い人よ、わずかばかりの罪のために

The beauty of the garments worn by the standing figures was beyond comparison to anything. They were equipped with flying carriages and had silk canopies raised.
