狂歌（きやうか）
近き世におこる多葉粉の中 絶（たへ）て今（いま）そ盛（さかり）に唐（から）も和（やまと）も
思ひしれ治（おさま）る御世（みよ）の目出度はうへ人だにも烟草（たはこ）呑（のむ）なり
煙草（けふりくさ）渡しもとの一しなも四方（よも）にうゑては色香（いろか）ことなり
国（くに）ことにいづるたばこの色香（いろか）名（な）も処（ところ）によりてかはりこそすれ
春うへて秋かきとるやけふりくさ雪（ゆき）すきぬれは気味（きみ）も和（やはら）く
しも〳〵に呑（のみ）はやらせる烟草（けふりぐさ）雲（くも）のうへまでのぼるとぞきく
蜑（あま）のたく浦（うら）ならねとも烟草人のなみゐのしほとこそなる
誰（たれ）とてもみな呑（のむ）人にせん烟草（たばこ）をは我も昔（むかし）はきらひなれとも
たばこをはすきこのみてはやめられす唐（から）も和（やまと）も同（おな）しくせなり
酒（さけ）もすきめしもおほぐひもちもすき烟草（たはこ）もすき茶（ぢや）まだすきも有（あり）
かゝはでる人はたづぬる茶（ちや）はさめるきせるはつまるあるじはこまる

たばこやはわづかけふりのわざなれと民（たみ）の家（や）ことにたゝぬ日もなし
夜（よ）もすから物思ふ比（ころ）はこのたばこねやのひまにもつれとなりけり
さひしさにきせるくはへて出て見ればいづれも同したばこ呑（のむ）かな
武士のおはうちからすいとなみにこまをひかへて切（きる）とおもへは
吹（ふく）けふり雲（くも）とのほるや竜（たつ）となり行衛（ゆくゑ）もしらむうはのそらかな
雨はふるたばこはしめる火はきゆるおなかはひだるいりあひはなる
いつまてもきせるはなさぬたばこのみあいつふさきつ魚（うを）もあきれる

近き世に起こる煙草の中、絶えて今ぞ盛りに、唐も大和も
思い知れ、治まる御代の目出度さは、上人だにも煙草飲むなり
煙草、渡し元の一品も、四方に植えては色香異なり
国ごとに出づる煙草の色香名も、所により変わりこそすれ
春植えて秋刈り取るや煙草、雪過ぎぬれば気味も和らぐ
下々に飲みはやらせる煙草、雲の上まで上るとぞ聞く
海人の焚く浦ならねども煙草人の、並み居の潮床こそなる
誰とてもみな飲む人にせん煙草をば、我も昔は嫌いなれども
煙草をば好き好みてはやめられず、唐も大和も同じくぞなり
酒も好き飯も大食い餅も好き、煙草も好き茶まだ好きも有り
関わでる人は尋ぬる、茶は冷める煙管は詰まる主人は困る

よく聞けよ、蛍ほどなる煙草の火、心緩せば早鐘の声
香のよきも神と仏の御許には、忌み憚れよ禰宜と墨染
世の人の夜昼分かぬ鼻の下、飯食い茶飲み酒煙草飲む
花と見ん霞と立つや煙草、色香に人の心留むれば
上人の忍びて飲むを見るにつけ、思い付きこそ面白きかな
煙草やはわずか煙の業なれど、民の家ごとに絶たぬ日もなし
夜もすがら物思う頃はこの煙草、閨の暇にも連れとなりけり
寂しさに煙管くわえて出て見れば、いずれも同じ煙草飲むかな
武士の追い討ち烏すい稼ぎに、駒を控えて切ると思えば
吹く煙雲と上るや竜となり、行方も知らん上の空かな
雨は降る煙草は湿る火は消ゆる、お腹は空くし仕合はなる
いつまでも煙管離さぬ煙草飲み、愛想尽きつ魚も呆れる

In loneliness, holding a pipe and going outside to look, everyone alike is smoking tobacco
Warriors pursuing and striking, crows in their work, holding back their horses thinking to cut
The blown smoke rises like clouds, becoming dragons - who knows where in the vast sky above
Rain falls, tobacco gets wet, fire goes out, stomachs are empty - what a situation
The tobacco smoker who never lets go of his pipe - even the fish are exasperated and fed up
