役人之儀者別而万端覆蔵なく同役仲間申合
謹慎を以諸用可相弁事
一 異様之風俗をなし不行儀之体不仕刀脇差衣
類以下目立さる様に可相心得着服勿論結構之
品停止之浅黄之下着給人以上には各別其以下は
遠慮すへし惣而軽き品を用ひ分限より劣
る分は可為慎事
一 軍役人馬之儀者去享保年中定置通可相
守事
一 吉凶事振廻且他所之者出会之節は料理二汁
五菜に過へからす平日傍輩寄合之節は
一汁三菜たるべし酒乱酔に及ヘからさる事

附家作之儀花美を好分限不相応之作事
仕間敷事
一 跡目之儀及末期忘却之願ひ不可用之縦実子
といふ共筋目違ひたる遺言者立へからさる事
一 縁組養子取組に於ては家中他所共に先達而
願可申立事
一 家中に浪人不可抱置一類并無拠筋にて差置
は先達而申立可受差図事
一 喧嘩口論相慎へし万一不慮之儀有之共人之
荷担族者其科本人より重かるへき事
附諸番所に於て喧嘩口論有之節は相番
之者取計へし外より猥に駆集へからす

【右丁】
役人については特に万事において隠し立てなく、同役の仲間と申し合わせ、謹慎をもって諸用を処理すべきこと
一 異様な風俗をなし、不行儀な体をしてはならない。刀や脇差、衣類以下、目立たないよう心得るべきである。着用するものは勿論、結構な品は停止し、浅黄の下着は給人以上には格別だが、それ以下の者は遠慮すべきである。総じて質素な品を用い、身分より劣る分については慎むべきこと
一 軍役の人馬については、先の享保年中に定め置いた通りに守ること
一 吉凶事の振る舞い、また他所の者との出会いの際は、料理は二汁五菜を過ぎてはならない。平日の同僚の寄合いの際は一汁三菜とすべきである。酒は乱酔に及んではならないこと

附 家作については華美を好み、身分不相応な作事をしてはならないこと
一 跡目の件及び末期の忘却の願いは用いてはならない。たとえ実子といえども、筋目が違った遺言は立ててはならないこと
一 縁組みや養子縁組については、家中・他所共に事前に願い出を申し立てること
一 家中に浪人を抱え置いてはならない。一類並びにやむを得ない筋にて差し置く場合は、事前に申し立てて指図を受けること
一 喧嘩口論を慎むべきである。万一不慮の事があっても、人に荷担する族は、その科は本人より重いものとすること
附 諸番所において喧嘩口論があった際は、相番の者が取り計らうこと。外から軽々しく駆け集まってはならない

Officials must be particularly open in all matters, consulting with their colleagues in the same position, and handling all affairs with discretion and prudence.
Article 1: One must not adopt unusual customs or behave improperly. Regarding swords, short swords, clothing and below, one should be mindful not to stand out. Naturally, fine garments are prohibited. Light yellow undergarments are acceptable for those of giver (kyūnin) rank and above, but those below should refrain. Generally, one should use modest items and be cautious about anything inferior to one's station.
Article 1: Regarding military service personnel and horses, one must observe what was established during the Kyōhō era.
Article 1: For ceremonial occasions and when meeting people from other domains, meals must not exceed two soups and five dishes. For daily gatherings among colleagues, it should be one soup and three dishes. One must not become disorderly or excessively drunk.

Addendum: Regarding house construction, one must not favor ornate beauty or undertake construction inappropriate to one's station.
Article 1: Matters of succession and deathbed requests for overlooking [irregularities] must not be employed. Even with one's own son, wills that violate proper lineage must not be established.
Article 1: Regarding marriage arrangements and adoptions, whether within the domain or with outsiders, one must submit a petition in advance.
Article 1: Masterless samurai (rōnin) must not be harbored within the domain. If housing them due to family relations or unavoidable circumstances, one must report in advance and receive instructions.
Article 1: Quarrels and arguments should be avoided. Even if unexpected incidents occur, those who take sides shall receive heavier punishment than the principals involved.
Addendum: When quarrels or arguments occur at guard posts, those on duty together should handle the matter. Others must not rashly rush to the scene.
