現代語訳
上を見れば及ばないことが多くあった。
「身の丈に合わせて暮らせ、自分の心に」
というのは、高ぶる心を戒めた歌である。
正しい商人の頭には神様が宿り給い、驕る頭を抑えつけて一生を守り給う。仮にも横道にそれることをさせず、稼業第一に稼ぐ者の頭には神様がいらっしゃるゆえ、自然と人から頭を下げさせ、敬われもてはやされ、富貴繁盛の身の上となり、年ごとに金が増えて極月（十二月）になると、入る金や出る金が押し合いへし合い、寿司を詰めるようである。まことに正しい者の徳はめでたいことである。

♪利金の収入はこの鍵をもって三番目の蔵へ行かっし
金曰く
♪これ、押すなよ、腰が折れるぞ
♪もし地代のものはどこにございます
♪遠方から来る金は馬で来る
馬車や馬車や、ハイハイハイハイハイ
♪これ貴様はどこから来た、入ることはならぬと突き出される金は、いつでも東みやくの鈍い金である

Looking upward, there were many things beyond one's reach.
"Live according to your station, according to your own heart" -
this is a song that admonished against an arrogant spirit.
In the head of a righteous merchant, a god dwells, pressing down the prideful head and protecting one's entire life. Never allowing one to stray from the proper path, because a god resides in the head of those who work diligently at their trade first and foremost, naturally people bow their heads to them, showing respect and praise. They become people of wealth and prosperity, and their money increases year by year. When the twelfth month arrives, the incoming and outgoing money push and shove against each other like sushi being packed. Truly, the virtue of the righteous is most auspicious.

Money says:

Horsemen, horsemen, hai hai hai hai hai
♪"You there, where did you come from? You cannot enter!" - the money that gets pushed out is always the dull, worthless money from the eastern districts.
