午前九時に自宅を出て登城した
一 御目付衆へ坊主を通じて、板倉周防守の名代として登城する旨を
申し送っておいた
一 板倉左近将監も出席するので、後ほどお達しがある際の
対応について相談しておいた
一 当番の人々と一緒に雁之間へ出て控えていたところ、御目付がやって来て
お達しの書付をお見せになった

March 8th
- Today, as proxy for Itakura Suō-no-kami, I wore fukusa kosode with hemp kamishimo court dress and departed my residence at the hour of the Snake (around 9 AM) to attend the castle
- I sent word through a servant to the ometsuke (shogunate inspectors) that I was attending the castle as proxy for Itakura Suō-no-kami
- Since Itakura Sakon-shōgen was also to attend, I discussed with him the protocol for when official instructions would be given later
- While waiting in the Kari-no-ma (Wild Goose Room) together with others on duty that day, an ometsuke came and showed us a written notification
