現代語訳
しばらく間を置いて着座し、出雲守にも自分の右の方に
着座させた。それから頭を上げ「内藤播磨守病気につき
隠居家督をお願い申し上げます」と申し上げ、願書の上包を取って進達した。
一覧の間、上包を右京大夫殿の右の方に差し置き控えて在席した。
一覧が済むと出雲守が容体書を差し出し、これもまた一覧が
済んで会釈があったので、両人で時宜を述べて退座した。
一 門前において滞りなく進達が済んだ旨を播磨守の留守居へ
申し聞かせた。

After waiting for a moment, took my seat, and had Izumo-no-kami also sit to my right.
Then I raised my head and said, "I humbly petition for the retirement and succession of Naito Harima-no-kami due to illness," and took the outer wrapper of the petition to submit it.
During the review, the outer wrapper was placed to the right of Ukyo-no-taiyu-dono, and I remained in attendance.
When the review was completed, Izumo-no-kami presented the medical report, which was also reviewed.
After receiving acknowledgment, both of us offered our thanks and withdrew from our seats.
1. At the gate, I informed Harima-no-kami's caretaker that the submission had been completed without incident.
