物がありました。一畳つりの帷（かとばり）を一垂れずつ、この蚊帳は横に口があります。木綿の綿入れを一枚ずつ、同じく蒲団を一枚ずつ、頭巾を一つずつ。これはどちらから下さったものかと聞けば「旦那様から」とだけで、その詳しい訳は分かりません。総じて台保での私共への費用を考え見れば、おおよそ金子二百両も入った様子でございます。通訳が「四日後に日本へ渡海することになれば、船が覚束ない義理で取り難い間、二人別れて二艘に乗ってください」と申すので、互いに別れ、海上無事に長崎で

The interpreter said, "If you are to cross to Japan in four days, it would be difficult to secure passage on one ship, so please separate and board two vessels." So we parted from each other, planning to meet safely at Nagasaki on the sea.

We boarded the ships to wait. Now, thirty people boarded the ship called Tokuhō, all Chinese merchants coming to Nagasaki. The ship that Sentarō boarded after departing Taihō was called Kintaihei and carried one hundred people. Thus, on the 28th day of the 12th month of the year of the Ox, we raised sails at the port of Taihō, and from there the two ships together took the helm, and the sailors saw us off. Now, regarding how they saw us off and delivered us safely, firstly it was due to the merciful願 of the gods and Buddha, and secondly due to the mighty virtue of Tōshō Shinkun (Tokugawa Ieyasu).
