聞て仙太郎女房躍上りて悦けり夫より
御上使者道中無滞七月廿六日長崎へ御
至着被成候内中町の山中政之助方年行
司役ニ而御奉行所へ案内致され又宿割
の差図ハ尽後町吉野屋伊三郎方ニ御旅
宿被成同廿七日御奉行様ゟ此由弐人の者へ
被仰聞候諸又正月十七日より四月六日迄ニ
御用御正し都合七度委細御吟味

相済状被下八月二日長崎出立ニ而夫より

聞いて仙太郎の女房は躍り上がって喜びました。それより御上使者は道中つつがなく、七月二十六日に長崎へご到着なさいました。内中町の山中政之助方が年行司役として御奉行所へ案内し、また宿割の指図は尽後町の吉野屋伊三郎方にご旅宿なさることになりました。同二十七日、御奉行様より、この由を二人の者へお聞かせくださいました。また、正月十七日より四月六日まで、御用のお調べで都合七度、詳細にご吟味

なさいました。唐より持参の品は残らず差し出すべき旨をおおせつけられ、金銀はございませんが、銭少々を差し上げ申しました。後はお取り替えとなり、日本銭でお下げ置きくださいました。また蚊帳、蒲団、綿入れ、頭巾等は我らにお下げ置きくださいました。同二十八日、御用で福田左次馬殿と御奉行様がお掛け合いが済み、証状をお下げくださり、八月二日長崎出立となりました。それより仙太郎、辰蔵ともども喜び勇んで国元へ帰ることになり、これまで苦労したことも昔話にする

Hearing this, Sentarō's wife leaped up with joy. The official envoys then traveled without incident and arrived in Nagasaki on the 26th day of the 7th month. Yamanaka Masanosuke of Nakanaka-chō, serving as annual administrator, guided them to the magistrate's office, and lodging arrangements were made at Yoshinoya Isaburo's establishment in Jinushiro-chō. On the 27th of the same month, the magistrate informed the two men of this matter. Also, from the 17th day of the 1st month to the 6th day of the 4th month, they conducted official investigations a total of seven times with detailed examination.

They were ordered to present all items brought from China without exception. Though they had no gold or silver, they presented some small coins. Later these were exchanged for Japanese currency which was given to them. Additionally, mosquito nets, bedding, padded clothing, head coverings, and such were bestowed upon them. On the 28th of the same month, official business between Fukuda Sajima-sama and the magistrate was concluded, certificates were issued, and they departed Nagasaki on the 2nd day of the 8th month. From then on, Sentarō and Tatsuzō rejoiced together and prepared to return to their home province, knowing that all their previous hardships would now become mere tales of the past.
