様の御手形を差出せは西尾隠岐の守といふ

何にも読不申尤日本と云字計知れ申
候間仕方なくうなづき申候是ゟ日本と
云事知れ申候後に左保（サホ）え参り通辞に
承り少々分り申候漂着の所名を奥門

言上早言々」私共には一向分からず申し訳ない。
《割書：して早く申し開けという》
挨拶はできず申し訳ない。その時連れ出され候考え、
「吾々早旦見此船灘中不知面体流流漂人自
《割書：われ〳〵は早朝にこの船を灘中に見る、知らざる面体を、ただよう人はどこから》
何国来問聞一向不言無答」と云う
《割書：いずれの国より来たるかと聞けども、一向に言わず答えず》
何を申しても、この通り浦賀の御切手並びに横須賀様の御手形を差し出せば、「西尾隠岐の守」という字を「さいびいんじゃ」と読む様子にございます。
