とも沢エビネとも言う。四、五月に花が咲く。

ず、春薊を言う。花の形が眉刷毛に似ている。一種で葉が
厚く切れ込みが深く、花もまた通常の秋薊より大輪である。

【囲みの外】花の形は虎の尾のようで色は薄紫である。葉は
車葉に付き、段々に葉が出る。五月に花が咲く。
菊は秋から生じて秋まであり、年中絶えることがない。葉の徳は
松に似ている。秋の草花を取る頃は花盛りで、冬に至りますます
多くなる。一つの名を菊として呼び名は多い。また花に大小がある。
まず差し渡し金差し一寸より以下は小輪とする。小輪に二品ある。
五、六分以下は小輪とする。一寸より二寸までは中輪。二寸より三寸までは
大輪である。三寸二分より小柄に当たるので大の大。三寸五分より
上は大の大大と言うべきである。まずここに記すのは白水曜日、黄水
曜日がある。大般若また黄大般若、濡咲、また小輪の
うち小猩々、小金目抜き、清見寺咲き分けがある。

blooming. It is called autumn thistle. What is called eyebrow brush is not limited to autumn thistle
but also refers to spring thistle. The flower shape resembles an eyebrow brush. One variety has thick
leaves with deep cuts, and the flowers are also larger than ordinary autumn thistles.

【Outside the box】The flower shape is like a tiger's tail with a light purple color. The leaves are
arranged in whorls, emerging in tiers. Flowers bloom in May.
Chrysanthemums arise from autumn and last until autumn, never ceasing throughout the year. The virtue of their leaves
resembles that of pine. When autumn grass flowers are gathered, they are in full bloom, and become even more
abundant as winter approaches. Though they share the single name "chrysanthemum," they have many appellations. The flowers also come in various sizes.
First, those with a diameter of one sun or less using a metal measure are classified as small blooms. There are two grades of small blooms.
Five to six bu or less are considered small blooms. One sun to two sun are medium blooms. Two sun to three sun are
large blooms. From three sun two bu corresponds to a small handle, so it's large-large. Three sun five bu and
above should be called large-large-large. First, what is recorded here includes white Suiyōbi, yellow Suiyōbi, Daihan'nya, yellow Daihan'nya, Nuresaki, and among the small blooms: Ko-shōjō, Ko-gane-menuki, and Seiken-ji sakiwake.
