【囲みの外】花の形は普通のほととぎすで、色はその鳥の羽のようなまだら模様がある。普通のほととぎすより葉も丸く花も早咲きである。七八月に花が咲く。漢名は三白草（さんぱくそう）。

Orchids bloom at the same time.

Blooms in the seventh and eighth months.

Nago-ran has large leaves and yellow flower color like small orchids. Blooms between leaves. The roots rise up creating a very attractive appearance. Kaya-ran has opposite leaves growing densely, shaped like a weaving reed (osa). Hence called osa-ran.
