福岡家老衆中
一 江戸此方様御家老？しゟ福岡御家老中へ参る書面写
四月十六日於若松沖唐船追払之儀違
被聞此度鉄砲に而打払候致方宜被思召被？
此己後漂流之節此度之通打払可申旨被
仰出候通先月七日御用番井上河内守様此方
御留主居被召呼御書付を以被仰渡之節
何府沖へ罷出夫に勢方情を出候通委細違御耳
御？被 思召候此段可申聞旨江戸ゟ被仰越候事

面々上下着用に而罷出御家老中被 仰渡候

「右帖」
福岡家老衆中
一 江戸のこちら様御家老から福岡御家老中へ参った書面の写し
「四月十六日、若松沖において唐船追払いの件について違反があったとお聞きになった。この度の鉄砲による打払いの方法が適切であるとお思し召しになられた。この後、漂流の節にはこの度の通りに打払い申すべき旨を仰せ出された。この通り、先月七日の御用番井上河内守様が、こちらの御留守居をお召し呼びになり、御書付をもって仰せ渡された節、何府沖へ出向いて、そこで勢力を示した通り、詳細な違反がお耳に入り、お思し召しになった。この段を申し聞かせるようにと江戸から仰せ越されたこと」
六月朔日
右の段について六月十四日、御飯において、四月十六日打払いを相勤めた面々が上下着用で出席し、御家老中が仰せ渡された。

To the Fukuoka Senior Retainers
Item Copy of a letter sent from our lord's senior retainer in Edo to the Fukuoka senior retainers
"Regarding the violation in the repelling of the Chinese ship off Wakamatsu on the sixteenth day of the fourth month, His Lordship found the method of repelling with firearms this time to be appropriate. He has ordered that in future cases of drifting ships, they should be repelled in the same manner as this time. As instructed, on the seventh day of last month, the duty officer Lord Inoue Kawachi-no-kami summoned our caretaker and conveyed orders through a written directive. When they went out to the waters off [location unclear] and demonstrated force there, the detailed violations came to His Lordship's attention and he took notice. Word has come from Edo to convey this matter."
First day of the sixth month
Regarding the above matter, on the fourteenth day of the sixth month, at the meal gathering, those who carried out the attack on the sixteenth day of the fourth month appeared in formal dress, and the senior retainers conveyed the orders.
