由注進す毎日遠見番又は御用丸に而沖見に出ツ其段は
試船一艘弥地の嶋よりは乾に当り十里余に漂泊（朱字　流）相見る

両度も打払に罷出ツ也日和も有けれと御船方詮義ま

「右帖」
この旨を注進するため、毎日遠見番または御用丸で沖見に出る。その状況は以下の通りである。
唐船一艘が、地島からは乾（北西）の方角に当たり十里余りの所で漂流しているのが見える。
七月朔日頃からは七八里程沖に見える。この間には一両度も打払いに出向いた日もあったが、御船方の判断が一致せず、結局この在勤中には追い払うことはできなかった。総じて海上の状況が悪かったため出撃しなかったという。

一　地島在勤の武士の宿泊場所が狭く、隣家も近く、火薬が大分持ち込まれているため火の用心が心配である。そのため人家より十丁程離れた山中に火薬を入れておく木造の小屋を設け、番人として小役人や郡夫が昼夜交代で詰めている。

一　右の交代のため地島へ七月七日に派遣された人数

「Right Volume」
To report on these matters, lookouts or official vessels go out daily for offshore observation. The situation is as follows:
One Chinese ship can be seen drifting about ten ri or more in the direction of inui (northwest) from Jinoshima.
From around the first day of the seventh month, it could be seen about seven to eight ri offshore. During this period, there were one or two occasions when they went out to repel the ship, but the naval officers' judgments were inconsistent, and ultimately no pursuit was carried out during this tour of duty. Generally, the sea conditions were poor, so they did not sortie.

Item: The lodging for the samurai stationed on Jinoshima was cramped, with neighboring houses close by, and a large amount of gunpowder had been brought in, making fire precautions worrisome. Therefore, a wooden storage shed for gunpowder was set up in the mountains about ten chō away from the houses, with minor officials and district workers taking turns as guards day and night.
