暮頃延寿丸五拾挺立に乗船其外名乗り船に而慈嶋
に廻る翌廿日慈嶋へ着船各陸宿
一右若松惣引払に依て筒役中は直に延寿丸に而福岡へ
罷帰面に林文右衛門同五太夫陶山源作太田文九郎

廿一日地の嶋ら出船同夜福岡波戸に着り翌廿二日御飯江
各罷出御月番御逢被成候
一斯而地嶋遠見番所へ毎日定番並び小船頭遠目鏡を

以唐（朱字 唐）船漂流の様子を見分す勿論小早船へ而も毎日
御船手沖見に罷出候然に同廿一日二日比新来り以前より之
唐船かは知らず唐船一艘慈嶋ゟは亥子の方に当り遂に
遠沖に見えん此段福岡へ及注進福岡ゟ御下知には昼
夜随分見合せ何とそ可打払旨追々申来唐船ははり（朱字 かかり）
所不相替漂泊候故可打払極り詮儀有之候得共

同廿五日遠見番並沖見注進にも今日へ慈嶋ゟ五

「右帖」
伝太夫、山路弥右衛門、若松治平、四宮助太夫、平野宅助、平山久兵衛、小船頭、陸目附、筒役手伝ともに五月十九日夕刻頃、延寿丸五十挺立に乗船し、その他名乗り船で慈島に向かった。翌二十日に慈島へ到着し、各々陸上で宿泊した。
一 右の若松完全撤収により、筒役中は直接延寿丸で福岡へ帰ることになり、林文右衛門同五太夫、陶山源作、太田文九郎、今中仁左衛門、帆足門平、安住兵作その他手伝いともに五月二十一日慈島から出船し、同夜福岡波戸に到着した。翌二十二日に御城へそれぞれ出向き、御月番にお会いした。
一 このようにして慈島遠見番所へ毎日定番並びに小船頭が遠眼鏡を
「左帖」
使って唐船漂流の様子を見分けている。もちろん小早船でも毎日御船手が沖見に出向いている。そうしたところ、同二十一日・二日頃、新しく来たものか以前からの唐船かは分からないが、唐船一艘が慈島から亥子の方角に当たって、ついに遠沖に見えた。この件を福岡へ報告したところ、福岡からの御下知では昼夜十分に見張りをして何とか打ち払うようにとの指示が次々と来た。唐船は錨泊地を変えずに漂泊しているので打ち払うことに決まり詳細な検討もあったが、打ち続く風波が強く空しく日を送った。
五月二十六日打ち払いの件
同二十五日、遠見番並びに沖見の注進でも、今日まで慈島から五、六里程も離れて見えるとの注進があった。今までは藤井勘右衛門

「Right Volume」
Denshirō, Yamaji Yaemon, Wakamatsu Jihei, Shinomiya Sukedayū, Hirano Takusuke, Hirayama Kyūbei, boat captains, land inspectors, and gunnery assistants all boarded the fifty-oared Enjumaru around evening on May 19th, along with other named vessels, and headed for Jishima. They arrived at Jishima the following day, the 20th, and each took lodging on land.
Item 1: Due to the complete withdrawal from Wakamatsu mentioned above, the gunnery personnel were to return directly to Fukuoka aboard the Enjumaru. Hayashi Bunemon and his assistant Gotayū, Suyama Gensaku, Ōta Bunkurō, Imanaka Nizaemon, Hoashi Monhei, and Azumi Hyōsaku, along with other assistants, departed from Jishima on May 21st and arrived at Fukuoka harbor the same night. The next day, the 22nd, they each reported to the castle and met with the monthly duty officer.

Then, around the 21st and 22nd, whether it was a newly arrived ship or the same Chinese ship from before was unclear, but one Chinese vessel was sighted in the northwest direction from Jishima, finally visible in the distant offing. When this matter was reported to Fukuoka, instructions came repeatedly from Fukuoka ordering day and night vigilance and to somehow repel the ship. Since the Chinese ship remained drifting without changing its anchorage, it was decided to repel it and detailed deliberations were held, but continuous strong winds and waves made the days pass in vain.
