一 筑前長門之沖へ唐船漂流之儀度々打払被仰付候
得共帰帆不仕と相見候鉄砲打懸候而越只今迠之
通に而者さのみ痛不申と相聞候先達而於長崎表
石河土佐守申渡之通此己後は打（朱字 追）は払之時今迄
玉目（朱字 目）を増候？何とそ玉四つ五つに而も唐船痛候様に
可成哉之事
一 唐船を取巻船数出候はは如何様にも船之痛申様に
可相成候得共同者船数少出唐船より追船と見知
られさる様にとの事
一 可相成程は夜中に打払之儀に候得とも沖に有之時預

「右帖」
頭取する者を小倉へ兼ねて差し越し置かれるよう申し来た。御着船次第に人数を派遣すべき旨、護定があった。「割書 もっとも御飯、唐船打払役人御迎え出しの節、本日、丹後守殿小倉御着前 加藤直右衛門 御無足頭 伊賀右衛門 石火矢役 臼杵弥右衛門 抱大筒役頭取」十月七日、若松の戸畑まで罷り越し、御着を窺い罷りあったところ、同十三日小倉御着の趣、御到来があり、翌十四日右の人が小倉へ罷り越した。「割書き 若松弥右衛門と申す者の所へ投宿」さて、領内打払役人上使の御投宿へ罷り出で、御書出等を御覧になされ、十四日夜半頃御用が相済み、それより直に若松へ引き取り、十六日福岡帰着した。

一 筑前・長門の沖へ唐船が漂流する儀について、度々打払いを仰せ付けられたが、帰帆せずと見受けられる。鉄砲を打ち懸けるが、今まで通りではさほど痛手を与えないと相聞く。先達て長崎表において石河土佐守が申し渡した通り、この後は打払いの時、今まで玉目を増すこと。何とぞ玉四つ五つでも唐船に痛手を与えるようになるべきことである。
一 唐船を取り巻く船数が出るならば、如何様にも船に痛手を与えるようになるはずであるが、船数少なく出ると、唐船より追船と見知られないようにとのことである。
一 なるべくは夜中に打払いの儀であるが、沖にある時は

A message came requesting that supervisors be sent in advance to Kokura. There was a directive stating that personnel should be dispatched upon the arrival of ships. [Marginal note: "Particularly regarding meals, when Chinese ship expulsion officials are sent out to meet, on this day, before Tango-no-kami's arrival at Kokura - Katō Naoemon, head of ashigaru foot soldiers, Iga Uemon, artillery officer Usuki Yaemon, cannon unit supervisor"] On October 7th, they went as far as Tobata in Wakamatsu to await the arrival, and on the 13th, news came of the arrival at Kokura. The next day, the 14th, these men went to Kokura. [Marginal note: "They lodged at the place of one called Wakamatsu Yaemon"] Then, the domain's ship expulsion officials went to the envoy's lodging, where official documents were reviewed. The business was completed around midnight on the 14th, after which they immediately returned to Wakamatsu, arriving back in Fukuoka on the 16th.

1. Regarding Chinese ships drifting to the waters off Chikuzen and Nagato, expulsion orders have been issued repeatedly, but they do not appear to return to port. Guns are fired at them, but it is heard that the current methods do not inflict much damage. As previously instructed by Ishikawa Tosa-no-kami at Nagasaki, from now on during expulsion operations, the amount of ammunition should be increased from what has been used until now. Somehow, even with four or five shots, the Chinese ships should be made to suffer damage.
1. If many ships can surround the Chinese vessels, damage should be inflicted on the ships in any way possible. However, if few ships are sent out, care should be taken that the Chinese ships do not recognize them as pursuit vessels.
