「右帖」
唐人共は打払に出る船は前かとの通に若松口より押寄る
と思ひ若松之方を気遣候慈嶋に打払船入区有之（朱字 之）候
事をは不知うかうかと慈嶋よりは上之方に漂流す扨廿六日
之未明に各唐船ゟひたひたと押寄せ五艘之船ゟ拾拠
之大筒を以込替込替打懸り元より思ひも不依事なれは
唐人船底より起揚り鉄砲之火音に仰天し碇を揚る
間もなく碇綱を打切帆を？風を求むれとも夜半
より今朝に至り至極之なぎにて海上長閑成けれは
少も唐船不動十方にくれいたづらに時をう埋氐（朱字 ？）
間に透間もなく大院を打懸たり船は余程打破り

唐人二三人矢庭に打殺され船も損ぜしかは矢防に毛
氈大よせ物の類を船掛け置たり取分？より打込し
鉄砲をふけるか毛氈巻物を弐重にもひしとかけ
並べて其後は船底に入けるか暫は上廻りに見へさ
りし時々唐人出て面を指出しては引込恐て不長
後は唐人壱人も見へさりし火矢弐放三放打掛くる
越矢にて帆を打貫て海におつる扨各手はやく打懸し
處に中程に至り間幾右衛門五十目銃に火（朱字 火）薬を込候頬
付にて込替込替打懸候何とか仕たりけん薬を二重込仕
ける弐筒の戻りはげしく 「四文字 朱字 虫喰」打切り不当船端

「右帖」
唐人たちは、打ち払いに出る船は以前の通り若松口から押し寄せてくると思い、若松の方を警戒していた。慈島に打ち払い船が入り込んでいることは知らずに、うかうかと慈島よりは上の方に漂流していた。さて二十六日の未明に、各々唐船からひたひたと押し寄せ、五艘の船から十挺の大筒を以て次々と撃ちかけた。元より思いもよらぬことなので、唐人は船底から起き上がり、鉄砲の火音に仰天し、錨を上げる間もなく錨綱を打ち切り、帆を張って風を求めたが、夜半から今朝に至るまで非常な凪で海上は長閑であったので、少しも唐船は動かず、途方に暮れてただ時を過ごしている間に、隙間もなく大筒を撃ちかけた。船はかなり打ち破られ、

唐人二、三人が即座に撃ち殺され、船も損傷したので、矢を防ぐために毛氈や大寄せ物の類を船にかけて置いた。とりわけ我が方から撃ち込んだ鉄砲を防ぐために、毛氈の巻物を二重にもしっかりとかけ並べて、その後は船底に入ったのか、しばらくは船上に見えなかった。時々唐人が出て面を出してはすぐに引っ込み、恐れて長居しなかった。後には唐人一人も見えなくなった。火矢を二発三発と撃ちかけたところ、矢が越えて帆を打ち抜き海に落ちた。さて各々手早く撃ちかけしたところ、戦いが中程に至り、間幾右衛門が五十目銃に火薬を込めて頬付けにて次々と撃ちかけていたが、何をしたのか、火薬を二重に込めてしまった。二筒の反動が激しく、（虫食いで不明）銃身が切れて当たらず船端に

「Right Volume」
The Chinese believed that the attacking ships would approach from Wakamatsu Port as before, and were watching the Wakamatsu direction with concern. Unaware that the attacking ships had entered Jishima, they drifted carelessly northward from Jishima. Then at dawn on the 26th, each ship stealthily approached the Chinese vessel, and from five ships, ten large cannons fired repeatedly in succession. Since this was completely unexpected, the Chinese arose from the ship's hold and were startled by the gunfire. Without time to raise anchor, they cut the anchor cables and hoisted sail seeking wind, but from midnight until this morning there was complete calm and the sea was peaceful, so the Chinese ship could not move at all.
