「右帖」
をきしり筒は海に入る小舟の事なれば終なる標し
間に弐人乗並び殊に幾右衛門は取梶に座標の間之志
とみにきしりて居ける故に戻りは強か大筒海へ入けり
夫より辰の下刻此迠打懸し故唐船余程打やふりし故
藤井勘右衛門下知に今は最早矢を止（と）め可然あながち
打潰致をと被仰せ付たるに而も無之候と以使船矢
止めを触廻は各指図に随て矢止す其後唐人船底
ゟはい出打破られたる帆を引廻し少之風に帆
をもたせ鰐之口をのがれたることくに暫有て沖迠
退處す打払之面々も夫より元之慈嶋へ漕帰る
「左帖」
唐船へ打懸し球数合三百弐拾六放火矢四放打出す
慈島へ帰り藤井宮本山路ゟ福岡へ里里注進す

現代語訳

「右帖」
をきしり、筒は海に入る。小舟のことなので、狭い場所に二人が乗り並び、殊に幾右衛門は舵取りに座っている場所の関係で、急にきしって居たため、反動は強く大筒は海へ入ってしまった。それより辰の下刻（午前8時頃）まで、これまで撃ちかけたので唐船はかなり打ち破られたため、藤井勘右衛門の下知により「今はもう矢を止めるのが良い。むやみに打ち潰すことはない」と仰せ付けられたが、そうではないとして、伝令船で矢止めを触れ回ると、各々の指図に従って矢を止めた。その後唐人は船底から這い出て、打ち破られた帆を引き回し、わずかな風に帆を持たせ、鰐の口を逃れるように、しばらくして沖まで退却した。打ち払いの面々もそれから元の慈島へ漕ぎ帰った。

唐船へ撃ちかけた弾数は合計三百二十六発、火矢四発を撃ち出した。慈島へ帰り、藤井・宮本・山路から福岡へ早々注進する。

「Right Volume」
...creaking, and the gun fell into the sea. Since it was a small boat, two men were seated close together in the narrow space, and particularly Ikuemon was seated at the helmsman's position, so when it suddenly creaked, the recoil was strong and the large gun fell into the sea. From then until the lower part of the hour of the Dragon (around 8 AM), having fired continuously, the Chinese ship was considerably damaged. Under the command of Fujii Kan'emon, it was ordered "Now it would be best to stop shooting arrows. There is no need to destroy it completely." However, this was not the case, and when the order to cease fire was circulated by messenger boat, everyone stopped shooting according to the instructions. After that, the Chinese crawled out from the ship's hold, maneuvered the damaged sail, caught what little wind there was with the sail, and like escaping from a crocodile's mouth, after a while retreated to the open sea. The attacking party also rowed back to the original Jishima.

「Left Volume」
The total number of rounds fired at the Chinese ship was 326 shots, and four fire arrows were launched. Returning to Jishima, Fujii, Miyamoto, and Yamaji sent urgent reports to Fukuoka.
