野薔薇の花を最上とする。李東壁が言うには「番国に薔薇露があり、甚だ芳香である」という。これは花上の露水なのか、まだその是非を知らない。また墻蘼の項目の条下に言うには「南番に薔薇露がある」という。これはこの花の露水で香りが異常に良いという。今考察するに、蒸留器（ランビキ）は番人の巧妙な発想によるものである。李氏もその方法を知らないがゆえに、このように言うのだと思われる。この水は外用薬として用いて効果が多い。紅毛人は常に長崎に持参する。近世、本邦の人もまたその伝承を得て
これを製造する。しかしその製法が詳しくないので、水が腐って長期保存に耐えない。製造する時にサル・アルモニアカを少許加えれば、水は数十年を経ても損傷しない。梅花およびその他の露を取るのも皆同様である。これを貯蔵する方法は、フラスコに納めてコルクを口にして紙で封じて置くべきである。コルクがない時は蝋で

土部
白堊 巻物に用いる色白い土である。数種ある。その性質が堅硬なものを粳米土といい、軟らかなものを糯米土という。共に『天工開物』に見える。
○粳米土 ○肥前伊万里の産は甚だ堅硬にして石のようである。伊万里焼、唐津焼等皆この土を用いる。本邦陶器の絶品である。○信濃水内郡小市邑産は上品で、色が至って精白である。

This is the dew water of these flowers, with exceptionally fine fragrance. Upon current examination, the distillation apparatus (ranbiki) originates from the ingenious ideas of foreign peoples. Since Li also did not know this method, he spoke thus. This water has many beneficial effects when used as external medicine. The red-haired people regularly bring it to Nagasaki. manufacture it. However, since their manufacturing method is not precise, the water spoils and cannot withstand long storage. When manufacturing, if a small amount of sal ammoniac is added, the water will not deteriorate even after several decades. Taking dew from plum blossoms and other flowers follows the same principle. Earth Section
White clay This is white-colored earth used for scrolls. There are several varieties. Those with hard properties are called glutinous rice earth, and those that are soft are called non-glutinous rice earth. Both appear in the "Exploitation of the Works of Nature."
○Glutinous rice earth ○The product from Imari in Hizen is extremely hard like stone. Imari ware, Karatsu ware, etc., all use this earth. It represents the finest pottery of our country. ○The product from Koichi village in Minochi district, Shinano is superior grade with extremely pure white color.
