蔓（つる）につけるがごとし。瓠（ゆふがほ）は天（てん）の雨露（うろ）を得（ゑ）。子（こ）は母（はゝ）の気血（きけつ）を得（ゑ）
て。太（ふと）るこそ自然（しぜん）のつねなれ。もし私（わたくし）の知恵（ちゑ）才覚（さいかく）にて。是（これ）
をくゝりて。その太（ふと）るを悪（にく）むは。これ自然（しぜん）を害（かい）するにあらず

蔓につながっているのと同じである。夕顔は天の雨露を得て、子は母の気血を得て、太くなるのが自然の常である。もし個人的な知恵や才覚で、これを縛って、その太ることを憎むのは、これは自然を害することではないだろうか
