産（さん）にのぞみ陣疼（しきり）つよくして。肛門（こうもん）もいづる心地（こゝち）に覚えば。
力（ちから）ある人をして。掌（たなこゝろ）をもて肛門（こうもん）をおさしむべし。然（しか）るときは

おこり。汗（あせ）出（いつ）るあり。汗（あせ）出（いで）ざるもあり。頭（かしら）いたみ。起居（たちゐ）やすからす。
熱（ねつ）去（さら）ずして身いたみ。心（むね）さわぎて得ねむらず。見るものに
おそれ。聞（きく）ことにおどろき。舌（した）すくみて言語（ものいひ）わかりがたく。
あるひは得ものいはず。あるひは人をも得見わかざるかたち
にて笑（わらひ）。あるひは哭（なき）。物怪（ものげ）のなせる事にやと見ゆるものあり。
又おもき症（しやう）は。総身（そうみ）【惣】熱（ねつ）つよく。口（くち）かはき。唇（くちびる）さけ。譫語（うはこと）おほ
く。喉（のんど）かはきて水（みづ）をこのみ。呼吸（こきふ）すだき。目を視（み）つめ。口（くち）噤（くひつめ）て
沫（あは）をはき。角弓（かくきう）反張（はんちやう）とて。つよき弓（ゆみ）のかへりたるがごとくにし
て。手足（てあし）をなげうち。身（み）強直（こはゞり）。煩乱（はんらん）【左ルビ：もたへ】して死（し）するものあり。又 病勢（びやうせい）ゆ
現代語訳
【右丁】
精力を使い気を張って、思わず肛門が翻って出てしまうのである。普段からよく心得て、出産に臨み陣痛が強くなって、肛門も出そうな感じがしたら、力のある人に手のひらで肛門を押さえさせるべきである。そうすれば肛門が出ることなく、また前陰への張りも力があって出産しやすくなる。

茵陳 一匁 五倍子 一匁五分 当帰 一匁五分 苦参 一匁
右の四味を水三合に入れ、一合半に煎じて用いるべきである。

汗が出ることもあり、汗が出ないこともある。頭が痛み、起き上がったり座ったりするのが辛い。熱が去らずに身体が痛み、胸がざわついて眠ることができない。見るものを恐れ、聞くことに驚き、舌がこわばって言葉が分かりにくく、あるいは話すことができない。あるいは人を見分けることもできない様子で笑ったり、あるいは泣いたり、物の怪の仕業かと見えるものがある。また重い症状は、全身の熱が強く、口が渇き、唇が裂け、うわ言が多く、喉が渇いて水を欲しがり、呼吸が荒く、目を見つめ、口を食いしばって泡を吐き、角弓反張といって、強い弓が反り返ったようになって、手足を投げ打ち、身体が硬直し、煩乱してもだえて死ぬ者もある。また病勢が（以下続く）
