One Fifty bales of rice Note: Abandoned at sea
The above concerns the ship of Genhachi from Kaketsuka in Tōtōmi Province, with offshore captain Matsusuke and six sailors aboard, who loaded the aforementioned fifty bales of rice cargo along with townspeople's goods and timber at the same location, departing on the 24th day of the 12th month of last year and proceeding downstream in stages. However, on the 14th day of the 1st month, in the waters off Jōgashima under the current jurisdiction, a southeast wind intensified and high waves crashed into the ship. Moreover, the cargo toppled over and the vessel became waterlogged. All crew members abandoned the original ship, boarded a lighter boat, and were rescued by Kanroku's ship from the same province and location, with offshore captain Taihei rowing to assist them.
