到り一見為仕烟草抔を為 吃（タベ）候夫ゟ堂を下り玄関口に而御
幕等を拝見仕履を脱かせ客堂に伴ひ安坐為仕候茶
菓蕎麦等を賜る誠に難有様子に相見へ候檻前の
桜花を指示し我 日本国是を桜と云と申候へとも甚珍
敷賞する様子に相見へ候得共筆答不仕候
公之御座
御座に近き候に付如此に申聞候へとも随分承知仕候様子に而
拝趨仕候夫ゟ檻前に出て候故左之如く申聞候
紀城漸￣ク近可一胆

御掛幅を拝見仕らせ如是申聞候へは
唐伯虎 王
如此答申候察するに沈周唐伯同様之名家と申候意に

唐伯文徴明者同時之人に候得共誠ニ承らす
倶住蘇州 王
簾一様乎我朝廷御座総如此 鳴
泗州艮山有此簾 王
現代語訳
【右丁】
台に到り一見して煙草などを喫しました。そこから堂を下り、玄関口で御
幕などを拝見し、履を脱がせて客堂に伴い安座させました。茶、
菓子、蕎麦などを賜り、誠にありがたい様子に見えました。欄干前の
桜花を指差し、「我が日本国はこれを桜と言う」と申しましたところ、甚だ珍しく
賞賛する様子に見えましたが、筆答はしませんでした。
公（藩主）のお座所
お座所に近くにございますので、このように申し聞かせましたところ、随分承知した様子で
拝礼いたしました。そこから欄干前に出ましたので、次のように申し聞かせました。
「紀州城がようやく近く見えるでしょう」
このように申し聞かせましたところ、しばらく拝望して座っておりました。
【左丁】
「これは明人沈周の画讃です」
御掛軸を拝見させ、このように申し聞かせましたところ
「唐伯虎 王」
このように答えました。察するに、沈周と唐伯虎は同様の名家という意味
でしょうか。
「文徴明と同時の人ですか 鳴沢」
「唐伯虎と文徴明は同時の人ですが、まことに存じません」
「共に蘇州に住む 王」
「簾は一様ですか、我が朝廷の御座所も総てこのようです 鳴沢」
「泗州艮山にこの簾があります 王」

They arrived at the platform and took a look, smoking tobacco and such. From there they descended the hall, and at the entrance they viewed the
curtains and other items, removed their footwear, and were led to the guest hall where they sat comfortably. They were served tea,
sweets, buckwheat noodles and such, appearing truly grateful. Pointing to the
cherry blossoms in front of the railing, I said "In our Japan, we call these sakura," and they
appeared to admire them as quite rare, though they did not write any response.
His Lordship's seat
Since it was near His Lordship's seat, when I explained this to them, they seemed to understand quite well and
paid their respects. From there they went out to the front of the railing, so I spoke to them as follows:
"Kii Castle can gradually be seen nearby"
When I explained this to them, they gazed at it for a while and sat down.

"This is a painting with inscription by the Ming person Shen Zhou"
When I had them view the hanging scroll and explained thus,
"Tang Bohu Wang"
They answered like this. I surmise this means that Shen Zhou and Tang Bohu are famous artists of the same caliber.
"Was he contemporary with Wen Zhengming? Narusawa"
"Tang Bohu and Wen Zhengming were contemporaries, but I truly do not know"
"Both lived in Suzhou Wang"
"Are the blinds all the same? In our court, all the seats are like this Narusawa"
"In Sizhou Genzan there are such blinds Wang"
