　御願不申上候内同十二丑年六月中御法度筋相犯
　御追放被仰付候然ル所追々致改心悔先非罷在候内
　当四月中兄新右衛門病死仕女兄弟壱人ニ而一家断絶
　ニも相成義ニ付何卒以　御憐愍熊太郎義足入
　御赦免被成下置候様奉願上候

　　恐れながら口上書をもって願い上げ奉る件

私どもの親類である中町伊勢屋新右衛門の弟・熊太郎のことについて、天保三辰年（1832年）にお願いを申し上げ、豆州三嶋宿の親類・太右衛門方へ厄介として差し遣わしましたところ、その後、天保十一子年（1840年）に右三嶋宿より離縁して帰郷いたしました。しかし、御宗門への入籍のお願いを申し上げないうちに、同十二丑年（1841年）六月中に御法度の筋を相犯し、御追放を仰せ付けられました。しかるところ、その後次第に改心し、過去の過ちを悔い改めておりましたところ、今年四月中に兄・新右衛門が病死いたし、女兄弟一人のみとなり、一家断絶にもなりかねない事態となりましたので、何卒御憐憫をもって熊太郎の足入れ御赦免をお認めくださいますようお願い申し上げます。

右の趣、御慈悲をもってお願い申し上げた通りにお取り計らいいただけますならば、

Regarding Kumatarō, the younger brother of Iseya Shinuemon of Nakamachi, who is a relative of ours: in Tenpō 3rd year of the Dragon (1832), we submitted a petition and sent him to stay with a relative, Taeuemon, in Mishima-juku in Izu Province. Subsequently, in Tenpō 11th year of the Rat (1840), he returned home having separated from the household in Mishima-juku. However, before we were able to submit a petition for his re-registration in the temple registry, he committed an offense against the laws during the 6th month of the following 12th year of the Ox (1841) and was ordered into exile. Since then, he has gradually reformed himself and deeply regretted his past transgressions. During this time, in the 4th month of this year, his elder brother Shinuemon died of illness, leaving only one female sibling, and the family line now faces extinction. We therefore humbly beseech your compassionate mercy to grant a pardon allowing Kumatarō to return to the family.
