恐れながら口上書をもってお願い申し上げる件
千村平右衛門様ご支配所、手良郷野口村の忠蔵と申す者は私の伯父にございますところ、高齢となり生活が困窮しておりますので、この度、夫婦ともども私が引き取り面倒をみることとし、ご宗門（宗門人別帳）に加えていただき、孝養を尽くしたく存じます。よってお願い申し上げます。
右の趣旨について、お慈悲をもってお願い申し上げた通りにお許しいただけますならば、ありがたく幸甚に存じます。以上。

右につき奥書をいたし、七日に御役所にて鈴木氏のお取次ぎにより差し上げましたところ、翌八日にお聞き届けいただいた旨を鈴木氏よりお知らせいただきましたので、丁代吉右衛門へ申し渡しました。

私の倅・与兵衛のことですが、去る二月中に江戸神田三河町四丁目の桔梗屋源次郎方へ売子奉公のお願いをしておりましたところ、こちら（家元）に差し支えが生じましたので、願いを取り下げたく存じます。よってお願い申し上げます。
右の趣旨について、お慈悲をもってお願い申し上げた通りにお許しいただけますならば、ありがたく幸甚に存じます。以上。

Chūzō, a resident of Noguchi Village in Tera-gō [Tera district], under the jurisdiction of Lord Chimura Heizaemon, is my paternal uncle. As he has advanced in age and is experiencing financial hardship, I wish to take in both him and his wife into my household, add them to our religious parish register (*shūmon ninbetsu-chō*), and care for them with filial devotion. I hereby respectfully submit this petition.
If it should please you, in your great benevolence, to grant this petition as requested, I would be most deeply grateful. Respectfully submitted.

On the following 8th day, Mr. Suzuki informed us that the petition had been approved, and this was duly conveyed to District Representative Kichiemon.

Regarding my son Yohei: in the second month of this year, a petition was submitted requesting that he be sent to work as a sales apprentice (*uriko hōkō*) at Kikyō-ya Genjirō's establishment in Kanda-Mikawachō 4-chōme, Edo. However, as circumstances have arisen here at home that make this arrangement difficult, I wish to withdraw the said petition. I hereby respectfully submit this request.
