皇帝の御代が栄えて、遠くの陸奥国の山は言うに及ばず、その他佐渡の金山をはじめ、各地の高遠な諸国から金銀が降り続くこと三日三夜にして、庶民が喜ぶことは並大抵ではありませんでした。
【以下、空から降ってくる金を拾う人たちの台詞】
砂に灰を吹き分けて、極印（貨幣の品質を示す印）まで打ってある金が降るとは、まあなんということだ。
栄えている時は照り輝き、衰える時は曇る。佐渡の金山から金が降る。
金がこんこんと降ってくるよ。
少し降り方が激しくなった。
精を出して拾わなければ。
英語訳
During the emperor's prosperous reign, gold and silver rained down continuously for three days and three nights from distant mountains of Mutsu Province—not to mention other places—and from gold mines in Sado and other remote provinces throughout the land. The common people's joy was beyond measure.

To think that gold is falling—gold that has been separated from sand and ash, even bearing the official mint marks! What a wonder!
When prosperous, it shines brightly; when declining, it grows cloudy. Gold falls from Sado's gold mines.
