弐人満州通沢をつかさられる夷壱人ありて
衆夷のよく知れる所なり
一此地は旧満州夷仮府を置し処なれ共交易
の事によりて庶夷と闘争わし事ありし
（年歴不詳）ゆへ今廃すといふ
一林蔵此地に至りし時ハ満州夷来居して交易
をなして是に依てか所々酒宴等の事ありて
鼓音なと響き大にからふと島中の寂寥と
して人なき如きの類にあらす
一此所既にマンゴー河の河岸なり
同八日キチーを発してマンゴー河を上りけるに烈風
にして船をやるへからす僅一里余上流してカウタヱ
と称する処に泊す其夜大雨なりしに河渓遽造の
仮屋なれハ雨漏りて一身全く湿ひ終夜寝る事
あたはす此処また山旦夷五六戸の部落なり
一マンコー河ハ聞しにも勝りたる大河にして其
名義も錯報すれは林蔵経る所又は諸夷の
傳説する所水道の屈曲河中の産物を合
記して巻末に附す
同九日此所を出て凡五里許も上流しけるに又烈風

二人、満州通詞を司る夷一人がいて、多くのアイヌがよく知っている所である。
一、この地は旧満州夷が仮府を置いた所であるが、交易のことにより庶民のアイヌと闘争したことがあった（年歴不詳）ため、今は廃されているという。
一、間宮林蔵がこの地に至った時は、満州のアイヌが来て住んで交易をしており、これによって所々で酒宴などの事があって太鼓の音などが響き、大いにカラフト島中の寂しく人がいないような状況とは異なっていた。
一、この所は既にマンコー河の河岸である。
同八日、キチーを発してマンコー河を上ったが、烈風で船を進めることができず、わずか一里余り上流したカウタエと称する処に泊まった。その夜は大雨であったが、河畔の急造の仮屋なので雨漏りして全身が完全に濡れ、終夜眠ることができなかった。この処もまた山丹夷五六戸の部落である。
一、マンコー河は聞いていたにも勝る大河で、その名義も錯綜して報告されているので、間宮林蔵が経た所、あるいは諸々のアイヌが伝説する所の水路の屈曲、河中の産物を合わせ記して巻末に付す。

Note: This place is where the former Manchurian Ainu established a temporary government office, but there were conflicts with the common Ainu over trade matters (year unknown), so it is now abandoned.
Note: When Mamiya Rinzō reached this place, Manchurian Ainu had come to reside and conduct trade, and because of this there were banquets and festivities here and there, with drum sounds echoing, greatly different from the desolate, seemingly uninhabited state of Karafuto Island.
Note: This place is already on the banks of the Mankō River.
On the eighth day of the same month, departing from Kichī and ascending the Mankō River, due to fierce winds they could not operate the boat and after going upstream barely more than one ri, they stayed at a place called Kautae. That night there was heavy rain, and since it was a hastily constructed temporary hut by the riverside, rain leaked through and his entire body became completely wet, unable to sleep all night. This place is also a village of five or six households of Santan Ainu.
Note: The Mankō River is a great river that surpasses what was heard about it, and its nomenclature is also confusingly reported, so the places Mamiya Rinzō traveled through, or the waterway curves and river products that various Ainu speak of in their legends, will be recorded together and attached at the end of the volume.
