船を距み漸く日暮て後岩崖に船を繋き仮
屋をいとなみ泊しける其地名を問にコルヘしと名
付たる山旦夷五六戸の部落なりと答ふ
同十日又船を出して二里半許に流しウルケーと
いふ処に至りしに此所コルデツケと名付たる異族
夷の部落船夷等船を買の事ありて其日は此
処に滞泊す
一地夷の容貌理髪其他衣類に至るまて山旦
夷に異る事なし其言語は小異ありといへ共
一日の滞泊中其詳なる事を知らす
一此夷種総て海松の大材を以船を造る事を
業とす南方諸夷の用る処皆此地の造り出す
所なり故に船夷も此処に至りて齎し行処の
獣皮を以船一艘を易へ得是より諸雑器を
二艘に分積しテレンに趣くといふ
一此辺よりして奥地は気候少しく実して
温暖なる事と覚ゆ故に草木の形状また
カラフト奥地山旦地の多きにあらす青々蒼々
として繁茂する故に南方諸夷地に見さる
大材を産す天度にさまて隔絶なくして

船を岸に着け、ようやく日暮れの後、岩壁に船を繋いで仮屋を営み泊まった。その地名を問うと、コルヘシと名付けられた山丹夷五六戸の部落であると答えた。
同十日、また船を出して二里半ほど流してウルケーという処に至ったが、この所はコルデツケと名付けられた異族夷の部落で、船夷等が船を買う事があって、その日はこの処に滞泊した。
一、この地の夷の容貌、髪型、その他衣類に至るまで山丹夷と異なることはない。その言語は少し違いがあるといっても、一日の滞泊中にその詳しいことは分からなかった。
一、この夷種は総て海松の大材を以って船を造ることを業としている。南方諸夷の用いる処は皆この地の造り出す所である。故に船夷もこの処に至って持参した獣皮を以って船一艘を交換で得、これより諸雑器を二艘に分けて積み、テレンに向かうという。

They brought the boat to shore, and finally after sunset, tied the boat to a rocky cliff, set up a temporary shelter, and stayed there. When they asked the place name, they were told it was a village of five or six households of Santan Ainu called Koruheshi.
On the tenth day of the same month, they set out by boat again and traveled about two and a half ri downstream to reach a place called Urukē. This place was a village of foreign Ainu called Korudetsuke, where boat Ainu and others conducted business buying boats, so they stayed there that day.
Note: The appearance, hairstyles, and even clothing of the local Ainu were no different from the Santan Ainu. Although there were slight differences in language, during the one-day stay the details could not be learned.
Note: This Ainu people make it their business to build boats entirely from large timber of sea pine. All that the southern Ainu peoples use are made in this region. Therefore, the boat Ainu also came to this place and were able to exchange one boat for the animal skins they had brought, and from here they would divide and load various miscellaneous goods into two boats and head toward Teren.
Note: From this area toward the interior, the climate seems to become somewhat milder and warmer. Therefore, the form of vegetation is also different from much of the Karafuto interior and Santan lands - it grows luxuriantly in verdant abundance, producing large timber not seen in the southern Ainu lands.
