Although [Shinden Village] stated that [their access] extends to Kitadera-sama and the Kogurokawa as the boundary, the entirety of the area from the mountain foothills down to the flatlands is a location where your mountain [i.e., Koide Village's mountain] has had an additional cadastral survey (kenchi) of over fifty-eight chō and seven tan recorded. Despite this, [Shinden Village] has falsely claimed access all the way to this area, stating [boundaries such as] "Take," "Tahata," "Kitadera ■," and "Kogurokawa-giri," and this is something we find utterly unacceptable. We humbly request that you view the nearby area that would constitute an encroachment upon our territory as such.
Regarding the three locations of Noda, Jaishi, and Hosoya, as well as the ten locations to the west of the Itasawa stream — from all of these mountain-side [areas], five shō [of rice or other goods] per location have been received year after year. There is not the slightest—
