一 上州群馬郡足引村の御朱印地真言宗徳昌寺において、弟子の鳳寒という者が何らかの理由で、御朱印箱を密かに取り出し、六通すべてを切り裂いて縁の下に捨て置いた由。先月十一日に住持良栄が見つけて驚き入り、鳳観を捕らえ置き村役へ知らせたところ、村役人は直ちに御地頭へ訴え出て、当時寺社御奉行所にて御吟味が行われている由

One: Lord Saigō Chikuzen-no-kami, who was ill and for whom medical treatment was ineffective, passed away the day before yesterday on the 8th.
One: At Tokushōji Temple, a Shingon sect temple on shogunal land in Ashihiki Village, Gunma District, Jōshū Province, a disciple named Hōkan, for some unknown reason, secretly removed the shogunal seal box and tore up all six documents, discarding them under the veranda. On the 11th of last month, the head priest Ryōei discovered this and was shocked, apprehended Hōkan, and informed the village officials. The village officials immediately reported this to the territorial lord, and an investigation is currently being conducted at the Temples and Shrines Magistrate's Office.
