    二日 一 大紋にて六半時過登 城常之席え出   見合何も一統大広間御縁頬通並居   出御相待 一 大広間え 出御御上壇え   御着座中将少将侍従一人ツヽ太刀目録   持参 御目見申上御酒時服頂戴次に   四品之衆中太刀目録持参   御目見申上御酒時服拝領之畢て   喜連川左兵衛督被罷出太刀目録   奏者番持出   御目見相済老中列座にて喜連川   左兵衛督時服頂戴退去次御下壇え   出御御襖明表方諸大名御太刀前に置   御目見此節同席扇脇に置   御目見相済御襖立之 一 着座以後御老中方大広間御縁頬   拭縁に着座有之諸大名并諸大夫之   役人三人ツヽ御流時服頂戴相済て老中   御挨拶有之同席何も退去 【ここまで十一】     三日 一 熨斗目長袴にて五半時登 城常之   席にて見合 出御之節月次御礼之   席にて 御目見即刻退去 【以降、次コマ】

現代語訳

二日目 一、大紋で六半時過ぎに登城し、通常の席に出て見合わせ、皆一統で大広間の御縁側を通って並び居て、出御をお待ちする。 一、大広間へ出御があり、御上壇へ御着座。中将・少将・侍従が一人ずつ太刀目録を持参して御目見を申し上げ、御酒・時服を頂戴する。次に四品の衆中が太刀目録を持参して御目見を申し上げ、御酒・時服を拝領する。これが畢って、喜連川左兵衛督が罷り出て、太刀目録を奏者番が持ち出す。   御目見が相済み、老中列座にて喜連川左兵衛督が時服を頂戴して退去。次に御下壇へ出御があり、御襖を開けて表方の諸大名が御太刀を前に置いて御目見。この節、同席は扇を脇に置く。   御目見が相済んで御襖を立てる。 一、着座以後、御老中方が大広間の御縁側・拭縁に着座し、諸大名並びに諸大夫の役人が三人ずつ御流・時服を頂戴して相済む。老中の御挨拶があって、同席は皆退去する。     三日目 一、熨斗目長袴で五半時に登城し、通常の席にて見合わせ。出御の節、月次御礼の席にて御目見を行い、即刻退去する。

英語訳

Second Day 1. Wearing formal court dress (daimon), one goes to the castle after six-and-a-half o'clock, appears at the usual seat for consultation, and all together line up passing through the veranda of the Great Hall, awaiting His Lordship's appearance. 1. His Lordship appears in the Great Hall and takes his seat on the upper platform. Middle captains (chūjō), minor captains (shōshō), and chamberlains (jijū) come forward one by one carrying sword catalogs, pay their respects, and receive sake and seasonal clothing. Next, those of fourth court rank bring sword catalogs, pay their respects, and receive sake and seasonal clothing. After this is completed, Kitsureigawa Saheie-no-suke comes forward, with the ceremonial attendant (sōsha-ban) bringing out his sword catalog. After the audience is completed, with the senior councilors (rōjū) seated in formation, Kitsureigawa Saheie-no-suke receives seasonal clothing and withdraws. Next, His Lordship appears on the lower platform, the sliding doors are opened, and the various outer daimyo place their swords in front for audience. At this time, those of the same rank place their fans at their sides. After the audience is completed, the sliding doors are closed. 1. After being seated, the senior councilors sit on the veranda and wiped veranda of the Great Hall, and the various daimyo as well as officials of various ranks receive sake and seasonal clothing in groups of three. After greetings from the senior councilors, all those of the same rank withdraw.     Third Day 1. Wearing ceremonial dress with long hakama (noshi-me chō-bakama), one goes to the castle at five-and-a-half o'clock and consults at the usual seat. When His Lordship appears, one pays respects at the monthly courtesy visit and immediately withdraws.
