全体的に困窮に及んでいる趣が聞こえてくる。当時は米の値段が下がり、銭の価格が高くなって困窮している状況である。

このような状況はどういうわけなのか。武家の方々は米価が下がり銭価が高くなって困窮しているが、あれこれと取り繕っているところ、右の通りの状況では何故困窮することになるのか申し出るべきである。
品物によっては都合良くすることもできるだろう。右の返答書を早々に差し出すよう仰せ渡された由。
