現代語訳
一、公家衆への御饗応、御馳走、御能がある際は
熨斗目と長袴を着用し、五時前または六時半に登
城する。
一、出御の際は大広間末之間の御敷居際で
南向きに並んで控える。公家衆との
御対顔の際、御襖が開くと平伏し、御襖が
閉まると南の方の御拭板に並んで御能を見物する。
二番目の頃、御譜代衆の御料理が済むと番頭
衆の案内があり、柳之間において御料理を頂戴し終わったら
番頭衆へ一同で御礼を申し上げ、また最初の所へ出座する。
御中入の際、どこに控えているかという決まりはなく、
同席の衆が控えている所を見合わせて控える。四番目が
始まる際、また出座する。祝言御能が終わる少し前に
同席一同で、先ほど
御目見えした御敷居際に並んで控える。
出御の際は同様に行い、入御後、同席一同で
芙蓉之間の御縁頬を通って芙蓉之間まで
並んで控え、老中の御挨拶があってから退出する。
一、勅使・院使への御返答の際は大紋を着用し五時に
登城する。諸事、御対顔の際の通りで
特別なことはない。

英語訳
One: When there are receptions, entertainment, and Noh performances for court nobles,
wear noshi-me and long hakama, and arrive at the castle before 5 o'clock or at 6:30.
One: When the lord emerges, line up facing south at the threshold edge of the far room of the Great Hall.
During audiences with court nobles,
when the sliding doors open, prostrate yourselves; when the sliding doors
close, line up on the southern polished wooden floor to watch the Noh performance.
Around the second act, when the hereditary retainers' meal is finished, the group leaders
provide guidance, and after receiving the meal in the Willow Room,
offer thanks in unison to the group leaders, then return to the original seats.
During the intermission, there is no fixed rule about where to wait;
observe where the fellow attendees are waiting and wait there. When the fourth act
begins, return to seats again. Shortly before the celebratory Noh performance ends,
all fellow attendees line up at the threshold edge where they previously
had their audience.
When the lord emerges, proceed as before; after the lord's entrance, all fellow attendees
proceed through the veranda of the Hibiscus Room to the Hibiscus Room,
line up and wait, receive greetings from the senior councilors, then withdraw.
One: For responses to imperial messengers and temple messengers, wear formal crested robes and arrive
at the castle at 5 o'clock. All matters proceed as during audiences,
with nothing special.
