八月
朔日
一、八朔につき白帷子に長袴を着用し、五時前に登
城する。通常の席にて見合わせ、何も一統して御白書院
定鑑の間にて自分の太刀目録を持参し、太刀
目録を前に置く。
出御をお待ちする。御目見えが済んで、前々の節句
の通り大広間御縁頬通りに並び居て御礼
済ませる。入御以後、老中の御挨拶があり退去する。
一、退出の節、西の丸へも出仕すること。
但し献上の太刀目録は留守居の者が中の口まで
持参し、坊主衆へ相渡し置く。坊主衆が受け取って
雁の間縁頬通りに差し置く。表へ廻る
前に有り所を見置くこと。

Eighth Month
1st day
One: For Hassaku, wear white unlined robes and long hakama, and ascend to the
castle before 5 o'clock. At the usual seat for observation, everything in unison at the White Shoin
Sadakan chamber, bring one's own sword catalog and place the sword
catalog in front.
Await his lordship's appearance. After the audience is completed, as in previous seasonal festivals,
line up along the veranda passage of the Great Hall and complete the formal salutations.
After his lordship's entrance, there are greetings from the senior councillors, then withdraw.
One: Upon withdrawal, also attend duties at the Western Citadel.
However, for the dedicated sword catalog, the caretaker brings it to the middle entrance
and delivers it to the monk attendants. The monk attendants receive it and
place it along the veranda passage of the Wild Goose Chamber. Before going around to the front,
observe where it is placed.
15th day
One: Attend duties as usual.
28th day
One: Attend duties as usual.
Ninth Month
1st day
One: Attend duties as usual.
However, the type of clothing is the same as on April 15th and 28th.
One: Attend duties at the Western Citadel.
9th day
One: For Chōyō, wear light-colored kosode and long hakama, and ascend to the
castle at 5 o'clock. The protocol for the audience is as usual.
However, tabi are not needed on that day; use them from the next day, the 10th, onwards.
Under the long hakama, use tabi as convenient.
One: After withdrawal, also attend duties at the Western Citadel.
