由殊之外沖買の御穿鏧絶き故猟船も出かたき

内物語すさ去十二月大島遠沖に漂流せし唐船定
而此舟《見せ消ち：な｜な》るへしと云沙汰有
一　同二月上旬又又遠沖に折々唐船相見える内嶋
しより注進有之弥相見候はは用心請持之面々芦
屋にて被差立旨御倅儀有然處に二月十五日大嶋
定番並地嶋より注進有之唐船遠沖に相見へ
候由申来に付同十六日右用心番芦屋へ被差立

一　子年正月の未の刻頃、長州津ノ嶋の漁船が芦屋へ来た時に物語したことには、その頃既に萩の遠洋に唐船が漂流しており、地元の小さな漁船であっても唐船の近辺を通船してはならないとのことであった。特に沖での商売の御穿鑿が厳しいため、漁船も出漁しがたい状況である

「左帖」
との話であった。去る十二月に大島遠沖に漂流した唐船は、きっとこの船であろうという沙汰があった。

一　同年二月上旬、また遠沖に時折唐船が見えるとの嶋々より注進があり、いよいよ船影が見える場合には用心受け持ちの面々を芦屋にて差し立てる旨の御沙汰があった。そうしたところ、二月十五日に大嶋定番並びに地嶋より注進があり、唐船が遠沖に見えるとの申し出があったため、同十六日に右の用心番を芦屋へ差し立てた。

1. Around the hour of the sheep on New Year's Day of the year of the rat, when a fishing boat from Tsunoshima in Choshu came to Ashiya, they reported that a Chinese ship had already been drifting in the distant waters off Hagi, and that even small local fishing boats should not pass near the Chinese ship. Particularly because the official investigation of offshore commerce was strict, fishing boats also found it difficult to go out to sea.

"Left volume"
Such was their account. There was talk that the Chinese ship that drifted in the distant waters off Oshima in the previous twelfth month was surely this same vessel.

1. In early February of the same year, reports came from various islands that a Chinese ship could occasionally be seen in the distant waters, and orders were given that if the ship were indeed sighted, the vigilance personnel should be dispatched from Ashiya. Under these circumstances, on the 15th day of the 2nd month, reports came from the Oshima garrison and local islands that a Chinese ship could be seen in the distant waters, so on the 16th day the aforementioned vigilance guard was dispatched to Ashiya.
