両面を裏返して着用するように仕立てたものもある。総じて、帽子や帯の織物は、中国の閩という地で織られ、この国へ売り渡される。琉球国では芭蕉布のみを作る。各家の女子は、皆手織りにする。首里で製作する物を上品とする。

Some are tailored to be worn by reversing both sides. In general, the textiles for caps and sashes are woven in a place called Min in China and sold to this country. In the Ryukyu Kingdom, only banana fiber cloth is made. Women in each household all do hand-weaving. Items made in Shuri are considered of the highest quality.
○Annual Events
On New Year's Day, the king changes into formal crown and robes, first pays respects to the yearly deities, then receives ceremonial greetings from his retainers. The ceremony on the 15th day is the same as New Year's Day. 《On the 15th of every month, retainers visit the castle》
The king bestows tea and sake. The women of common households play by bouncing balls, and also perform a entertainment called "hanbu" (board dance). As shown in the illustration, wood is placed in the center
