の台を居（すえ）。其上へ板を渡し。二人の女子。両端（りやうはし）に対（むか）ひ
て立。一人 躍（おど）り上れば。一人は下にあり。躍上りたる女子。
本の所へ落下る勢ひにて。こなたに立ちたる女子は。五六尺
も刎（はね）上るなり。其体。転倒せさるを妙とす。其地北極地
を出る事二十五六度なる故。暖気も格別にて桃桜の
花も綻（ほころ）【示す扁に見える】び。長春は四季ともに花開ども。わけて此月を
盛とす。羊躑躅（つつし）は殊更見事なり。元日王宮の花瓶（はなかめ）
に挿（さす）事。恒例（かうれい）なり。薩州の人の直話なり。蛇は。し

A wooden platform is set up. A board is placed across the top, and two women stand facing each other at both ends. When one person jumps up, the other stays down. With the momentum of the woman who jumped up falling back to her original position, the woman standing on this side bounces up five or six shaku. The skill lies in not falling over during this. Since this land is twenty-five to twenty-six degrees north of the equator, the warm climate is exceptional, and peach and cherry blossoms bloom. Chōshun (a type of flower) blooms in all four seasons, but this month is especially considered the peak season. Azaleas are particularly magnificent.
