現代語訳
八月になれば月見というものを忌んで吉原へ客の来ることなし。十一日頃より二十日過ぎまでは店を引いて休みなり。
月見というものはなぜ食い物のないものだね。
こうひまでいて酒や肴がいつものようにあるならさぞよかろうね。
深川辺りの寺に荻を植え、荻寺と名づけよりは座敷へ来て障子を立て込め、荻の上は風を聞いて楽しむ。
あの水にざわざわざわという所がどうも映えぬ。
この間に鹿寺へ鹿を聞きに参りましょう。
