江戸芭蕉の塚三十
山所程にふへて俳人
参けいする御発句
といふ物にふしをつけ
となへながらあるく
〽一番￣ンに牛￣イ島￣アの￣ヲ
雪￣イ見￣イ塚
いざさらば
雪￣イ見に￣イ
ころぶ￣ヲヽ
と￣ヲこ￣ヲろ￣ヲ
ま￣アで
三十三所あるくはちつとうちやすう
ちゝぶの開帳のやうにはせを塚を
ひとつ所へ
かた目たいね

三めぐり
には
其角塚と
いふが出来て
あまり照
つゞきて作の
ためにわるい時は
百せう此つかに
雨をいのれば
たちまち雨ふる
■四つにてひようし
をとりながら二人
にていのる其つとに曰
〽夕立や田をみめくりの
神ならばふらしやんせぬは
うらみじやとあけくれに思ふてくらすへ
金通をさそつた所がおとゝひ
かたせへ立たと云て来やした
日れんの御なんへ行くらひ
ならけふ江戸をあるけば
ゑゝさりとはぞくなやつだ
現代語訳
江戸に芭蕉の塚が三十余ヶ所ほどに増えて、俳人が参詣する。御発句というものに節をつけて唱えながら歩く。
♪一番～に牛～島～の～を雪～見～塚、いざさらば雪～見に～転ぶ～を～と～こ～ろ～ま～で
三十三所を歩くのは少し打ちやすう。秩父の開帳のように芭蕉塚を一つ所へ集めたいね。

三巡りには其角塚というのが出来て、あまり照り続いて作のために悪い時は、芭蕉此の塚に雨を祈れば、たちまち雨が降る。四つ拍子を取りながら二人で祈るその時に言う。
♪夕立や田を見廻りの神ならば降らしゃんせぬは恨みじゃと明け暮れに思うて暮らすべ
金通を誘った所が、おととい片瀬へ立ったと言って来やした。日蓮の御難へ行くぐらいなら、今日江戸を歩けばええ。さりとは俗なやつだ。
英語訳
In Edo, Bashō's grave mounds have increased to about thirty or more locations, and haiku poets make pilgrimages to them. They walk around chanting the master's hokku (opening verses) set to melodies.
♪First～ at Ushi～jima～'s～ snow～viewing～ mound, come now, let's go snow～viewing～ and stumble～ until～ our～ hearts～ are～ content
Walking the thirty-three locations is a bit easier. Like the Chichibu temple exhibitions, I'd like to gather all the Bashō mounds in one place.

After three circuits, a Kikaku mound was built. When there's too much sunshine and it's bad for the crops, if you pray for rain at this Bashō mound, rain falls immediately. Taking the four-beat rhythm, two people pray together, saying:
♪Evening shower, if you are the god who watches over the rice fields, not sending rain would be a grudge that we'd bear from dawn to dusk
I invited Kantsū, but he said he went to Katase the day before yesterday. He's going to pay respects to Nichiren's trials, but if that's the case, walking around Edo today would be just as good. What a worldly fellow he is.
