《京町国》《十六郡》
五州ともに郡の名は時に随って変化するが、中でもこの国などはとりわけ郡の名がさまざまに変化した。三浦郡という大郡を二つに分けて「両三浦」と唱え、高尾山とて五ヶ国一の高山などありしが、段々に欠け崩れて、その土は日本の三つ股に至りて中洲となる。あるいは越後の国へも至れりという。今の岡本郡・柏屋郡・田村郡の内であろうか。

《Kyōmachi Province》《Sixteen Districts》
In all five provinces, the names of districts change with the times, but this province in particular has seen especially varied changes in district names. The large district called Miura District was divided into two and called "Ryō-Miura" (Both Miuras). There was once a great mountain called Takao, said to be the highest peak across five provinces, but it gradually crumbled and eroded away, its earth reaching the confluence of three rivers in Japan and forming a sandbar. It is also said to have reached as far as Echigo Province. It is perhaps within what are now Okamoto District, Kashiwaya District, and Tamura District.
