現代語訳
曽祖父小兵衛の名跡を仰せ付けられ、高四十俵三人扶持を下された。御番方高の順席で逼塞を仰せ付けられ、十二月二十九日逼塞を御免となった。
一、同十一年子八月六日、途中殿坂において多賀谷唯右衛門と口論の上刃傷に及び、唯右衛門を討ち果たし帰宅の上切腹した。（その時二十三歳）
川西岩三郎

一、天保十二年丑十二月二十三日、川西小藤太の名跡をお立て成し下され、高二十六俵三人扶持を下された。格式は御中小性御次番を仰せ付けられた。
英語訳
He was granted succession to his great-grandfather Kobei's family name and awarded a stipend of 40 hyō and provisions for three people. He was ordered into house confinement according to his rank in the guard service hierarchy, and was released from confinement on the 29th day of the 12th month.
1. On the 6th day of the 8th month of Tenpō 11, year of the Rat (1840), at Tonosaka on the road, he had an argument with Tagaya Tadaemon which escalated to violence. He killed Tadaemon and, upon returning home, committed seppuku. (He was 23 years old at the time)
Kawanishi Iwasaburō
During the reign of Lord Yoriyasu:
1. On the 23rd day of the 12th month of Tenpō 12, year of the Ox (1841), he was granted succession to Kawanishi Kotōta's family name and awarded a stipend of 26 hyō and provisions for three people. He was appointed to the rank of middle page with alternate duty.
