序
諺（ことわざ）に貧（ひん）の病（やまひ）あり。持（もつ）たが病（やまひ）あり。金（かね）がかたきと云（い）ふ
側（そは）からたつた三百 両（両）とはこいつはありかたいと
感心（かんしん）してあ ま（ま）り有れとも。算用（さんやう）しては
ふ足（そく）だらけ。そこの所は入我（にうが）我入（かにう）のおれが。わ れ（れ）る。
われがおれかどちらへ張（はり）たら与かん゛平 何（なに）か
難波（なには）のあし早（はや）く。桛（かせぐ）に追付（おひつく）びんぼう物（もの）に。足（た）る
ことをおしへんと。一寸一 部（ぶ）の此そうしは。友人（ともたち）。
唐莱参和（からかくるさんわ）が。かわらぬ春（はる）の出放題（でほうだい）なる事を。

序
諺に「貧乏の病あり、金持ちの病あり、金が敵」と言うが、
そうは言っても「たった三百両とは、これはありがたい」と
感心してあまりにも欲張っても、計算してみれば
不足だらけ。そこのところは「入我我入（にゅうががにゅう）」の、俺が
われる、われが俺か、どちらへ張ったらよいのやら。何か
難波の芦のように早く稼ぐのに追いつく貧乏人に、足る
ことを教えようと、ちょっとした一部のこの草双紙は、友人
唐来参和が、変わらぬ春の出放題なることを
口元に綾なすのみ

Preface
The proverb says "There is illness in poverty, illness in wealth, money is the enemy," but
even so, thinking "just three hundred ryō, how fortunate this is!" and
being impressed and overly greedy, when you calculate it,
it's all shortfalls. At that point, it's "entering me, me entering" - whether I
break apart, or me being me, which way should one lean? Somehow
like the reeds of Naniwa, swift to earn, the poor person who catches up
- to teach them about sufficiency, this small kusazōshi book
by my friend Torai Sanwa speaks of the unchanging spring's wild outpourings
merely weaving patterns with his words.
