唐船打ち払い頭取御役人を小倉へ入れ込ませるのが良いのではないかということを申し上げた。治兵衛は小倉追い払いの趣旨を聞き取り、若松へ帰って美作殿へその旨を申し伝えた。二月七日、喜多村弥次兵衛、久野善右衛門が小倉へ参った。同日、宮本傳太夫は唐船打ち払いの船に乗って小倉へ回った。これは外記殿が近日小倉江へ御着船されるということで、右の三人は打ち払い頭取のため出向いた。大橋下に船宿し、翌日若松屋三右衛門方へ旅宿した《割書：三右衛門は筑前守の宿（泊まり所）》。

一 上使渡部外記殿が二月十一日小倉へ御着岸され、大橋の向かいに御旅宿された。御陸目付高倉弥三郎殿、岡田源七郎殿もその近所へ御旅宿された。小倉の御馳走の諸役人が大勢見受けられ、所々の番所が美々しく、火消役が行列で回った。近国からの御付使者が船宿、陸宿に大分見受けられた。同日、美作殿も小倉江へ御出でになり、来島治兵衛も参った。美作殿は同夕戸畑へ御引き取りになり、治兵衛は右の頭取三人に加わって外記殿へ付き従った。

[The chief retainer] stated that it would be advisable to have the Chinese ship repulsion supervisory officials enter Kokura. Jihē heard the details of the Kokura expulsion order, returned to Wakamatsu, and conveyed this message to Mimasaka-dono. On February 7th, Kitamura Yajibē and Kuno Zen'emon went to Kokura. On the same day, Miyamoto Dendayū rowed to Kokura in a Chinese ship repulsion vessel. This was because Geki-dono was to arrive by ship at Kokura in the near future, so these three men departed as repulsion supervisors. They lodged their boat below Ōhashi bridge, and the next day took lodging at Wakamatsuya San'emon's establishment《marginal note: San'emon is Chikuzen-no-kami's lodging house》.
One Since a large quantity of gunpowder for firearms had arrived at Wakamatsu, as a fire prevention measure, a wooden storehouse was erected on Nakanoshima island in Wakamatsu, where the gunpowder was stored. One Superior envoy Watanabe Geki-dono landed at Kokura on February 11th and took lodging across from Ōhashi bridge. Land inspectors Takakura Yasaburō-dono and Okada Genshichirō-dono also took lodging in that vicinity. Many officials responsible for entertaining at Kokura were observed, guard posts everywhere were splendidly decorated, and fire brigade units paraded around. Many accompanying messengers from neighboring provinces were observed at boat inns and land inns. On the same day, Mimasaka-dono also came to Kokura, and Kurushima Jihē also arrived. Mimasaka-dono withdrew to Tobata that same evening, while Jihē joined the aforementioned three supervisors and remained in attendance to Geki-dono.
