案内して大広間の御車寄の際の拭縁に畳を敷いた御座敷構えとし、その所に両使者が控えて座る。
一、薩摩守が出席し、下段の御敷居の内において御目見えする。奏者番の鳥居伊賀守が披露し、中段まで召し出される。「今度琉球の使者を遠路召し連れ、大儀に思し召す段」との上意がある。最前の席の御次の衝立の外へ退去するよう老中が召し、使者を御前へ差し出すべき旨を仰せ出される。御次において御諚の趣を薩摩守へ河内守が達し、老中が列座する。
一、薩摩守が重ねて出席し、下段際の上より五畳目通りの東の方に着座する。
一、御代替の御礼として中山王より献上の品々を、出御以前より南板縁の東西より御目通に並べ置く。御馬は諏訪部文九郎・同文左衛門が庭上に牽いている。
一、右の使者である美里王子が出席し、献上の御太刀目録を奏者番の松平兵庫頭が中段下より四畳目に置く。

[The envoy] is escorted to a formal seating arrangement with tatami mats laid on the wiping veranda near the carriage entrance of the Great Hall, where both envoys wait seated.
Article: Satsuma-no-kami appears and has an audience within the threshold of the lower platform. The protocol official Torii Iga-no-kami announces this, and [Satsuma-no-kami] is summoned as far as the middle platform. There is an imperial command stating "This time, having brought the Ryukyu envoy from a distant land is considered a great service." The senior councillors summon [him] to withdraw to the outside of the standing screens of the previous seat's antechamber, and announce that the envoy should be presented before [the shogun]. In the antechamber, Kawachi-no-kami conveys the purport of the shogun's words to Satsuma-no-kami, and the senior councillors take their seats in rows.
Article: Satsuma-no-kami appears again and takes his seat on the eastern side of the fifth tatami passage from the top near the lower platform.
Article: The various items presented by the King of Chūzan as congratulations for the change of reign are arranged in view from east to west on the southern wooden veranda from before [the shogun's] appearance. The horses are led in the garden by Suwabe Bunkurō and Suwabe Bunzaemon.
Article: The aforementioned envoy, Prince Misato, appears, and the catalog of the presented ceremonial sword is placed on the fourth tatami from below the middle platform by the protocol official Matsudaira Hyōgo-no-kami.
