敬んで尺素を修め、微志を表し奉る。去歳薩摩大守
少将吉貴が
鈞命の旨に遵い依り、寡夫が先人の業を嗣ぐことを許され、敞国異なるところなく
歓忻何ぞ極まらん。茲に
洪恩を拝謝せんと欲し、吉貴に従い小臣豊見王子を遣わし、輶褻
の土宜を献上す。伏して冀わくは
諸大老の指教を以て専ら
台聴に達し、感激の至りに勝えず。誠惶して備えず。

I respectfully prepare this letter to express my humble sentiments. Last year, Satsuma Grand Lord
Minor Captain Yoshitaka, in accordance with and following
the intent of Your Imperial Command, permitted this humble vassal to succeed to his ancestors' duties, and our domain remains unchanged,
so how could our joy not be boundless? Now, wishing to pay respects and express gratitude for
Your great benevolence, following Yoshitaka, I dispatch my retainer Prince Toyomi to present
humble local products as tribute. I humbly hope that through
the guidance of the senior councilors, this may be conveyed especially
to Your Honor's attention. I cannot contain my utmost gratitude. With sincere reverence, this is incomplete.
