[Satsuma-no-kami] was seated toward the end of the fifth tatami mat section. Tatami mats were laid on the opposite veranda, the two envoys waited in attendance on the eastern side near the threshold of the veranda, and the Ryukyu musicians were arranged in rows on the opposite side.
1. [The Shogun] made his appearance in the great hall at the fourth hour (around 10 AM) (wearing formal court dress with a folded cap).
